Why go digital

Paper logbooks weren't built for the line

Experience counts towards your licence, but recording it shouldn't eat into your shift or your weekends.

The old way

  • Writing up tasks days later, from memory
  • Illegible, coffee-stained pages and lost sheets
  • Copying everything again into the authority's format
  • Leafing through years of pages to find one job

With Experience Logbook

  • Log the task as you close the work order, with most fields prefilled
  • Neat, consistent entries, backed up to your account
  • An EASA- or FAA-style logbook PDF in one tap
  • Search and filter every field in seconds
How it works

From hangar floor to signed logbook

  1. Set up in a minute

Sign in with Google, Apple or email and add your name, authorization number and certifying staff privileges to your profile.

  2. Log as you work

After each job, record the station, aircraft, registration, ATA chapter, task and activity types, operation performed and time spent.

  3. Export & sign

Filter the period you need, export an EASA- or FAA-style PDF or an Excel file, then sign it and get your supervisor's sign-off.

Take the tour

Everything you need, nothing you don't

FAQ

Questions, answered

Who is Experience Logbook for?

Aircraft maintenance engineers, technicians and mechanics who need to record practical experience: Part-66 licence applicants and holders (A, B1, B2, C), students and apprentices, type-rating candidates, and FAA A&P applicants collecting their practical experience.

Can it replace my paper logbook?

Experience Logbook keeps your records on your phone and exports them as a printable logbook in an EASA- or FAA-style layout, with columns for supervisor sign-off and a signature block for you. Whether a printed export is accepted, and how it must be signed or countersigned, is decided by your competent authority, training organisation or employer, so check with them before you switch.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. You can log tasks in a hangar or on the ramp without a signal. Entries are stored on your device and synced to your account automatically when you are back online.

Can I use it on more than one device?

Yes. Your logbook is stored in your account, so signing in with the same method (Google, Apple or email) on another iPhone, iPad or Android device brings all your tasks with you, including when you switch between iOS and Android. Sign in with Apple is available on Apple devices.

What can I export?

Your whole logbook or just the tasks you filtered (for example one year, one aircraft type or one station), as an EASA-style PDF, an FAA-style PDF or an Excel (.xlsx) spreadsheet.

How much does it cost?

Experience Logbook is a subscription: $1.99 per month or $12.99 per year in the US, with a free trial for new users. Prices may differ slightly by country; the exact price is shown in the App Store or Google Play before you subscribe. You can cancel anytime from your store account.

Is my data private?

Your logbook is stored in Google Firebase in the EU (Belgium) and is only accessible to your account. There are no ads and no third-party tracking. You can delete your account and all your data from inside the app at any time. See the privacy policy.
